I am trying to raise money to help my mom, Stephanie Koch with her battle against cancer. Please show your support!

My mom, Stephanie has recently been diagnosed with cancer. Let me tell you a little about my mom and why she needs our help.

My mom has spent her life being a caregivier to her Autistic brother John (he is in the picture with my mom)He is now 63 and doing very well physically and emotionally because of the love and care my mom has provided him. He would be lost without her. In addition to taking care of him, she also spent the last 17 years working as an aide in an alternative education setting. Everyday she helped kids that others gave up on and cared for them. The kids loved her so much they called her their Kochie. She treated those kids like they were her own no matter what challenges they were facing. Always giving them positive feedback, suggestions and always giving them the push they needed to be and do better. She always found things on her own time to help simplify work for them at school.

She was always helping others and now she needs our help. She is too proud to ever ask for help so I am doing this for her.

When she discovered she had cancer she had NO health insurance because aides do not get insurance these days. Confused and scared she just sat around for weeks in pain not knowing what to do and not telling us. Until, one day the pain got so bad she had no choice but to seek some kind of treatment. In doing so she of course accumulated many medical bills because she had NO insurance.

Since then I have been able to obtain some health insurance for her but as many of you know it does not cover all things and she will continue to accumulate medical bills. I feel and I hope you do too that she is someone who deserves to be treated and taken care of without worrying about how to pay her medical bills.

She is someone who is so caring and giving and deserving of our support. I can't even explain all the things she has done for me, my siblings, my uncle and all the kids that she treated like her own during her 17 years at the school.

No person should ever have to worry about things like medical bills when they are trying to fight for their life.

Please help me to show her that she deserves to be taken care of for once and she only needs to worry about getting well.
