The family of Margaret Griffith is seeking your support in assisting the fight against Colon Cancer.

Currently located in Trinidad & Tobago, a twin island republic off the coast of Venezuela, we have been known for Oil, Music, Beautiful People, and delicious cuisine. Unfortunately little positive could be said about the current state of our health care system, which is why I am seeking your assistance for my mother-in-law, Ms. Margaret Griffith. Ms Margaret's (as I call her) story started in the beginning of 2011, when she began to complain of abdominal pain, which was followed by vomiting and diarrhea. After consulting her physician it was deemed a "stomach virus", and prescribed medication. When the symptoms prevailed, we carried her to the General hospital where tests were done but no cause was determined. Having little faith in the public health care system we decided to seek private medical advice, where again no rook cause was determined. In January of 2012, she was experiencing severe pain and was admitted to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital, and it was not until then the tests came back conclusive, Colon Cancer. She was assigned a team of Doctors that advised, attempting to surgically remove a portion of the mass followed by chemo therapy to shrink it would be the best plan of attack. March 2012, Ms. Margaret underwent surgery, where she remained until the 8th of June, showing little progress until shortly before she came out. A week after leaving the hospital she had to be readmitted due to complications, where she remains presently. This journey has been a long and arduous one for Ms. Griffith filled with peaks and valleys. We as her family are attempting any and everything possible to help in her fight. With that said, after consultation, coupled with the lack of trust in the current health care system, we have reached out to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts where Ms Margaret could seek the care and professionalism of the world renowned doctors and their staff. The $20,000 requested would be a start in facilitating the travel costs and medical expenses that will be incurred in getting Ms. Margaret to Boston. Again we are pleading for your assistance in helping Ms. Margaret make it to Boston to give her the best chance at survival of this deadly disease.
Much thanks & blessings,

Kevin Hamilton
