A fund to keep my quadriplegic daughter's best friend and closest companion part of our family. Funds raised go toward Chasity's vet bills.

Chasity is a one year old black lab. Her and her two brothers joined our family on October 28, 2009. Since adopting her, she has been a constant companion to my 20 year old quadriplegic daughter. It's doubtful they've spent a whole day apart since we got her. Currently, Chasity is being trained to assist her.

Six months after bringing the three labs into the family, one of the Heads of Household lost her job, and the other HoH was demoted a month later. The family's current income was cut over half of what it previously was.

The vet bills keep growing as Chasity continues to need medical attention. Every month we have to pay for veterinary grade flea tablets for all three labs, because Chasity has a hyper-sensitivity to fleas, which is basically an allergic reaction. Recently, she had to go in for surgery due to intestinal blockage. We are currently trying to pay off a $1200 bill. The Clinic was kind enough to arrange a payment plan, but the monthly fees are still $200.

As the New Year begins, vaccinations are once again due. If we are unable to afford the care of Chasity within the next month or so, all three of our dogs are going to end up in new homes.

My daughter and Chasity will also lose a piece of themselves if they become separated. After spending almost 24 hrs a day together, for over a year, that's a strong bond that our family hopes to be able to nurture and strengthen.

We ask for any amount you can donate. Whether it's $1 or more, assistance would be greatly appreciated.
