Otis Hyde my beautiful 8 year old Basset Hound is very sick and will be leaving this earth very soon. He has been a light and a treasure. We are raising money to pay for recent veterinary bills and upcoming bills. He deserves the very best care.

My 8 year old Basset Hound Otis has become very sick. He has an inoperable growth over his liver that is crushing his organs and causing fluids to seep into his abdomen. They have drained his abdomen of 6ilbs. worth of fluid, and placed him on medications. Once he becomes filled with fluid again which is happening more and more day by day there will not be anything else that they can do and it will be time to say goodbye.

Otis is leaving behind his Basset Hound partner Elsie she is 9 years old and they have been together for 7 years. We originally got Otis because Elsie gets very lonely and upset if she doesn't have another dog around to play and share with. We will be rescuing another Basset Hound from Basset Rescue Network which is who we originally got Otis from. After paying all of his medical expenses and saving another Basset Hound to add to our family we would like to make a donation to the ranch in his honor.

Otis has been one of the greatest creatures to ever come into my life. He has been there for me in good times and bad and has loved me unconditionaly. He deserves the very best that this world has to offer if he was in my postion I know he would do everything in his power to care for me, and I intend to do the same for him.

I know that I am in the same position as a lot of other people around me right now with the economy being in the current state that it is in. I am not in a financal postion to pay for much more than I already have I have already spent  over  $800 and I won't be able to afford care for him to put him out of his misery when the time comes.

Please help me give Otis the best possible care before he leaves us and honor his memory.
