The family and friends of 13 year old Victoria King ( "Tori" ) are uniting to raise money to help raise funds for a Cochlear Implant

Support "Tori". Only $1000 remaining to FINALLY get her a Cochlear Implant. Tori has had many medical appointments and surgeries throughout the years and finally she is SO close to being able to hear! Please help us raise the remaining funds so the wait will be over!

At 3 weeks old Victoria was diagnosed with
Pneumococcal Meningitis and spent 14 days in ICU. Her family was informed with the tough news that the antibiotic medication that she needed to be given would cause any one of several complications. She could end up with Cerebral Palsy, Blindness, Mobility Loss, Deafness or even possibly Death. Tori survived, but unfortunately she became completely Deaf.

Tori is now 13 years old, attends public shool and takes Special Deaf Education courses. She is being raised by a single Mom (Christy KIng) and resides in Kennedale,Tx.

Despite being deaf, Tori is an amazing young lady who has huge amounts of love to give and is very happy. She has taught us all so much already and is a real gift to us all. She loves life...but wants a "normal" her this means to hear like everyone else and to talk on her iPhone, just like her friends do :)

Tori was also diagnosed with Hydrocephalus also known as "water in the brain." This is a medical condition in which there's an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid. Because of this, she was required to have an operation at 8 weeks old to put in a shunt. That shunt had to be replaced again (another surgery) at 7 years old.

Tori has 3 older brothers that adore her and have been very supportive with her. At 4 months of age, her family began to learn sign language and all communicate very well together.

Please help with ANY monetary donation possible and be a part of making a dream come true! , a Cochlear Implant to give her sound.
