All help is truly appreciated by my entire family and myself! We will forever be in debt to those who help us to survive this trying time.

Asking for help is not something that comes naturally to me or my wife. We both work very hard to support our family and make the appropriate sacrifices in order to provide for them. However recently we have had an unexpected addition to our family that has put us into a tight financial corner. My wife was in a riding accident just about two years ago now. She was very badly injured and was lucky to be alive! While my wife was healing we made the decision to put our mare out to pasture to save money and to give our horse a well-deserved break. However the “friend” who we were paying to care for our horse had other ideas. They decided that it would be an opportunity to breed our horse without our knowledge. My wife and I found this out 1 month before our horse gave birth to a surprise filly, giving us very little time to prepare for the added responsibility to come. In that month of waiting for the baby to be born we spent almost every night sleeping at the barn to be able look after our pregnant mare. During that time one of our dogs came down with acute pancreatitis due to the stress of us not being home. That was the first of many vet bills to come. My wife and I scrambled to prepare for this coming baby and on the night of the birth all seemed to go well. This was a relief that was short lived however. It was only a few days later that the first vet bill came for the new baby. Because the baby was unexpected and was not receiving extra supplements or the proper vaccinations during the pregnancy her immune system was not functioning properly. It was with a plasma injection that this was remedied, seemingly for the long hall. Once again, this was not the case. Not even two weeks old, the baby and her mother were exposed to terrifying conditions caused by unannounced construction just outside their stall that ended the baby in a 4 day fever. The fever lead to a bacterial infection, and once again our little newborn’s immune system had fallen to pieces! It was at this point that we were forced to hospitalize both our girls to save the baby’s life. This was a decision that has however put us into a very tight spot when it comes to our personal finances. We have been unable to pay for our utility bills, our car payments, our insurance, even our rent , all in order to pay for the medical bills that are saving our little surprise’s life. We now have her out of the hospital but the bills have taken over our whole lives. Once again, it is truly outside of my comfort zone asking for help, but my concern for my family’s well-being has forced me to try anything possible to get back on track. I work full time and any overtime I can get my hands on, it is just not enough to take on these medical bills! I am thankful to anyone that can help in anyway, large or small donations, anything would be an incredible help in this time of need.
