Im writing about my best friend that I call my brother! He was born March 7, 1982 in Centralia Washington on his mother's 25th birthday. When he was born three months early he started the battle of struggling with life with a blood transfusion day 1,2 and 3. He was pronounced dead twice the first 8 years of his life. When he was in 8th grade he had a benign tumor that was on the bone and had to have bone marrow put in his knee. In 1989 and 1990 he was able to meet his idol Hulk Hogan that was such a great time in his life. He got married to his high school sweetheart Samantha in 2000. He was ready to start his life with her, they have 4 children 11, 9,6 and 3. Pat has lived in Centralia his whole life and plans on raising his children there also. 8 years ago he went for a routine check up and he was told his liver count was high they did a few tests and said everything was fine. Well he went to a different doctor in November of 2011 and they told him his liver count was high. So they did extra testing and came back to tell him he had Hep C. He was refered to a specialitst where he learned a lot about the virus and that he needed to do a liver biopsy and then a week later was informed that the biopsy showed that my liver is at stage 4 cirrhosis and that it was the stage before failer. The hepatitis c also is type 1a. The doctor informed him that he needed to start the chemo, so on My 18th 2012 he started the treatment. May 30th just two weeks after that he got a disturbing phone call from his father telling him and the family to go out to their house. When he got there his mom said our Tod went to the bathroom tonight told his wife he loved her and then put a gun, that was it. It was over from there, from what he remember he threw his keys started crying and just screaming no no no it can't be and then fell to the ground. Two people tried to help him up and just stood up and screamed and screamed. Then went to the ground again. He remembers just crying and crying and his wife laying with him in the poring rain trying to comfort him, and a priest or something like that holding his hand on his head and saying please god be with this young man. He hurt so bad and just could not believe it. With all the meds he was on he could not breath and he was hyperventalating, his nose started bleeding and had to call the paramedics. Pat has always been a great dad, husband, friend and a great asset to the community. He has always been involved with sports with his children he has the best attitude about life. Even after what he has been though he still remains positive. He is currently taking 21 pills a day and a shot on fridays. He just went to the doctor for a check up and the levels werent where the doctor wanted so he now has a less chance of this medication working. He is still working at this point but will be getting weeker and weeker as the medication starts to take a toll on his body. Im trying to set this website up to raise money for the family when he wont be able to work anymore. I feel so helpless, I want to help him as much as I can so I fuigured I would try this and hope for success. Anyone that can help thank you in advance I know he will appreciate it. I love him so much and can't bare the thought of losing him !
