*UPDATE* 8/6/12 Max is finished with his radiation treatments!!  YAY!  He will be on his way to his Make A Wish trip to Legoland shortly too!  He will also be starting maintenence chemo over the next few weeks as well as 3rd grade!  GO MAX!!

*UPDATE* 7/1/2012 Happy 8th Birthday Max!!! Max is halfway through his treatment with a minor hiccup this past week, though he seems to be doing well now! We are still in need of donations as they have traveled about 800 miles since treatments began and bills are starting to come in. He is still strong and in good spirits! Please tell all of your friends about his story!!

*UPDATE* 6/20/2012 Max has been through about a week and a half of his radiation treatment! He has an awesome mask to keep his head still during the process decorated as nothing less than a Star Wars character! He so far has been doing very well with all of this and the doctors are pleased. He continues to be full of energy and smiles! Keep checking the blog for more frequent updates! Also, please spread the word about our fundraiser!

Max is a fun-loving, spirited seven year old who has been diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforming or GBM, a type of brain cancer. It is one of the most aggressive forms of cancer. The doctors have already removed most of the tumor, though he still has a long road ahead. He will be receiving chemo and radiation. Max's treatments are an hour's drive each direction and he will be receiving them for six weeks, five days a week. His parents, Jay and Scott, are concerned about not meeting the non-medical expenses such as gas, food, and other things that may come up. With how things stand now, Jay may not be able to return to work. Max loves everything Legos and Star Wars. He is doesn't have a mean bone in his body and wears his heart on his sleeve and his heart is as big as Texas. He is a true Jedi Warrior!
