The family of Holly, a lab mix, are raising money to help with Holly's CCL tears of her hind legs. Please show your support!

Holly is a 6.5 year old lab mix that was rescued by our family as a puppy. Last year, Holly began struggling to walk. She was misdiagnosed with hip dysplasia and has been treated for that for the last year. This past summer, Holly was playing ball. As she jumped, we could very clearly hear a loud pop. Holly stopped immediately and did not want to bear weight at all on her back legs. We rushed her to the emergency vet and she was correctly diagnosed with a CCL tear (a knee ligament tear similar to an ACL tear in humans).

Even though Holly took the next few months very carefully, she actually tore the CCL in her remaning stable hind leg getting into the car. There is a surgery to repair her legs, however, it is very costly, very extensive and is not guaranteed to be successful.

Our family has been doing research to find alternatives to surgery to help Holly. We have found a wonderful company, K9 Dog Orthotics and Prosthetics, that actually manufactures such an alternative. Although the braces needed for Holly come at a marked reduction compared to the cost of surgery, the braces are still too costly for our family to afford.

Please consider donating to Holly's cause. It is our family's wish to give Holly every chance possible to run, play, and even just be able to stand pain free again. Thank you so much for taking time to consider helping Holly!
