Loving mother in need of a bottom denture after teeth have deteriorated after cancer treatments.

My mother was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago, breast cancer to be specific.

A baseball sized mass was removed with two separate surgeries from her right breast.

During chemo and radiation there were a handful of touch and go moments due to a compromised immune system and depleted blood cells.

One side affect killed off all of her upper teeth immediately, and she had a a denture made to replace them after surgery extracted the dead roots.

She also lost all of her hair.

Years later, she has remained cancer free much to her own delight as well as family's, and her hair is long and beautiful again.

However, although they were not deteriorating at the time the top denture was made, her bottom teeth slowly deteriorated as time went on despite proper brushing.

Slowly but surely, her bottom teeth have died off, some coming out with the roots, and others snapping off at the gum line. In the past week, an additional 3 have fallen out, bringing her to tears each time. She has a total of 5 teeth left on the bottom of her mouth, and those that remain won't last much longer.

I am hoping to raise money to add to our own so she can have the surgery to extract the roots that broke off, and have her bottom denture made. If left to ourselves paying for it, it would take a year to come up with enough to cover all of this. By then, her remaining teeth would likely be gone, hindering her ability to eat, and leaving her open to multiple infections.

Hopefully with your help we can cover the full amount and have the surgery done in just a few short months. Any amount will help!
