Family and friends of the Campfield's are coming together to help them rebuild their life

My parents live up in the White Mountains of Arizona and about 20 years ago, started taking in children with special needs from the Apache Indian Reservation. They brought home babies whom they heard needed help... Autism, Cerebral Palsy, mental retardation, OCD, underdeveloped lungs and hearts, non-communicative, non-mobile, feeding tubes, you name it. One by one, they adopted them all. They've grown from toddlers to teenagers and now even young adults. We've watched them thrive and excel and be awesome young people because of their disabilities, not despite them.

On May 3, my parent's house burned down. Thankfully both my parents, their 6 kids with special needs, 1 nurse, and 3 dogs all got out physically unscathed. They've set up camp in a temporary home in their small town and are going through the motions of rebuilding their lives and their home. They're struggling both emotionally and financially with the myriad of details that are involved.

I started thinking of the jars you see in small town gas stations. Someone in the community has something tragic happen to them...a fire, a car accident, an illness or a sick child. It's a display of one of the many beautiful sides of human nature that we put in our change or a few dollars without even necessarily knowing these people. I'm putting the jar out now and asking for any help that you can give. Every little bit makes a difference, no matter how small. And every little bit is greatly appreciated. I'll be sending this out to everyone I know, Facebook, etc and please feel free to forward it to whomever you like. If it's money you can donate, or prayers and good wishes, it all helps.

With Gratitude and Love,
