Disabled Veteran's Medical Procedure Fund
Jamie Schnider's family and friends are uniting to raise money to help with his medical expenses. Please show your support!
Jamie Schnider is one of the most kind and generous men I have ever met. He has been through a lifetime of hardships beginning when his mother passed away when he was only 17 from cancer. Jamie then enrolled in the military and through dedication and hard work became a Green Beret the most elite branch of the US Army who are the Special Forces of the Army with several different primary objectives, or missions. These include: unconventional warfare, foreign internal defense, special reconnaissance, direct action, hostage rescue, and counter-terrorism. The Green Berets are so selective and competitive, it helps to stand out in as many areas as you can-and Jamie did this VERY well. Jamie was medically retired after 18 years of service in 1997 and is currently a 90% disabled veteran due to chronic back pain and PTSD. Jamie has been through numerous failed back surgeries which have required him to be on numerous medications for the past ten years. Jamie would like to be able to start over and be medication free. We are asking for your help for him to begin a program that will help him to detox safely off the medication by trained professionals in the lower 48 as the Veterans Administration in Alaska where he currently resides does not cover this type of program. Jamie has two wonderful children and a family who desperately wants him to get the help he deserves. He gives from the heart and expects nothing in return and rarely asks for help. I know this would be an enormous gift for him as he would finally get his life back.
