The family of Joy O'donnell is raising money for the Joy O'Donnell Lung Transplant to pay for costs not covered by insurance. Please help.

Two years ago my Mother, who is my best friend, was diagnosed with COPD and emphysema. She can no longer walk without using her oxygen tank, or sleep without her C-Pac. Because she is so weak, she uses a motorized scooter to get around. My Mother is only 52 years old. She has three loving children ages 26, 24, and 7 years old. As the middle child and older sister to my sibling who is in second grade, I often find myself filling in where my mother cannot. Due to her illness, my Mom can't participate in the many things she'd love to do with my younger sister, as she did when I was a child. She can't go skating, swimming, or dancing. She can't take walks, ride bikes, or go on rides. Without your help to raise funds for this life changing surgery, I don't know if my Mom can make it to see the years where she so proudly would cheer my sister on in her sporting events, watch her throw her cap on graduation, and watch me walk down the aisle. I just want my Mom back. I want her to be able to walk from the house to the car and not have to stop for five minutes for her to catch her breath. I want her to go to Busch Gardens and ride the rides. I want her to go to the beach and race me in the water. But most of all, more than anything in the world, I just want my Mom to be around to show my little sister all the amazing things she showed me as a child, and to help mold my sister into a person that is so much like her; an inspirational, strong, beautiful woman. On. Nov. 18, 2011, she was placed on the lung transplant list and is awaiting her call. Please even if you can only donate a small amt., anything helps...and also, please share this with all yours friends on facebook. Just think if we all just gave $5-10 we could really help. Thank you all for caring for my Mom. I can't wait till Skylar can see Mom being able to run after her!
