The family friends and neighbors of Christina Cimino and Jessica Harris are uniting to help the girls with legal expenses and their move.

We are asking the local community to please help raise money so that Jessica & Caleb do not have to live out on the streets on Febuary 2, 2012.
Jessica Chaer had been living in Manassas Park for a year and four months when her landlord got in trouble for violating a zoning and housing code. Jessica a single mother had been struggling to pay her $700 rent but always paid it faithfully to her landlord. In October when her landlord got cited Jessica was informed she had to move by Dec. 1, 2011. Jessica works at a local store and only makes about $250 a week and that money barely pays to put food on the table for her and her son with special needs, and gets her gas to work and back and pay her car payment. Jessica had no money saved up and has been struggling to save to prepare for the Dec. 1, 2011 move. Jessica needs to find a home in Western Prince William County so that her son Caleb with Aspergers can continue to go to Pace West in Haymarket. This move is taking a toll on her son emotionally and will greatly impact his Christmas. Jessica is being punished for her landlords actions and she needs the comunity to give back! Jessica has served our community previously as a Volenteer EMT at Yorkshire. There is a long waiting list for public assistance and we need to help one of our own! Her landlord is now trying to sue her for future rent and also trying to keep her security deposit! So a portion of this will also go to try to help her find legal help to fight back!
UPDATE: The zoning officer spoke to the lawyer for Jessica's landlord he said that Jessica could stay until the end of the legal proceedings at least. However she still needs funding to move ASAP! Ideally she needs to be out NOW! We need your help to secure the funding needed.
Salvation Army won't help due to Jessica being bisexual, and her partner Christina being a lesbian.

The landlord has been stealing their mail!!!The mail theft resulted in loss of her storage unit and also repoession of their vechicle. The car was saved from auction with the help of a local church. At time of repo it was only 2 weeks past due but the landlord had been returning mail to sender. So the bank thought Jessica has ran with the vechicle.

Legal Services of NOVA has yet again failed them! They are trying to push their appointment back to 1/17/2012 instead of their orginal appointment of 1/2/2012. That makes their appointment after their first court date which is 1/6/2012. Legal Services of NOVA then told Jessica her case was to complex and told her she would need to hire a attorney. They are getting her a referal to the Prince WIlliam Bar Assoication Modest Means Pannel Attorneys. The referal came in the day of trial 1/20/12 Jessica had referal in hand heading to court . The Bar Assoication told Jessica to ask for a continuance. Trial started and she was never given a chance to ask for one. The landlords attorney knowing Jessica had no attorney started trial as fast as she can. Jessica lost and now has 2 judgements on her and 10 days to move.

Family shelters have a waiting list. She needs help!
