Cameron Shull is a 9 yr old boy who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when he was just 9 months old. Cameron decided he was ready to come into the world 7 weeks too early.During labor his cord got stuck around his neck which did not help the prematurity of his little lungs, therefore he was losing the oxygen that was suppose to be going to his brain.Due to the insufficant oxygen during labor, not only did he spend 6 1/2 weeks in the Neonate ICU but this also was the cause of Cameron's later diagnosis of CP. I as Cameron's mother noticed something was wrong when he was not sitting on his own or trying to crawl at 9 months old. When he was finally diagnosed he started physical and occupational therapy at children's rehab center. He progressed to his rear wheeled walker when he was 15 months old which helped him get around. In between his therapy and botox injections Cameron progressed to his walking crutched when he was 6 yrs old after his first treatment of intensive therapy at Easter Seals.
