The family and friends of CJ Stevenson are uniting to help offset/assist with medical/recovery expenses to help alleviate financial burden.

This is Cj Stevenson. He is currently fourteen years old. He was recently diagnosed with multiple bone tumors on his skull. He was scheduled to have them removed April 3rd in Tampa, Florida. They were to be removing the tumors and reconstructing the skull using grafting and a metal plate. CJ comes from a family of five. He is the middle child. His aspiration was to be a wrestler which he recently was forced to quit the team at his local high-school. His surgeon had reported his recovery time after the surgery to be approximately 18 months, with the faith and expectation that the tumors will return from pathology as benign. His recovery process is unknown. He will continue his high school studies from his home once he regains the ability to cope with is pain. On March 29th we went for a second opinion at All Childrens Hospital. We are taking the second opinion and the surgery is rescheduled for April 5th. On April 3rd he will have a Pet Scan. As it stands they are planning to drill a whole in the skull, and blast down the tumors so the remaining skull will stay intact pending the pathology. We hope we are making the right decisions in changing our surgery center and confiding in the Neuro Surgeon from All Childrens Hospital. Time will tell!
The funds we are hoping to raise will be used for CJs medical expenses not covered by insurance, and will help offset any hardship. This money will help provide in home care for six hours per day so that his parents can maintain their employment without causing additional hardship. With the help of a donor we put a down payment on a chair for CJ. One week later the chair has been delivered no charge with a balance owed of ZERO $$ thanks to the kindness of our friends over at Farmers Furniture in Crystal River Florida. The family will also be able to transport CJ 60 miles away where the treating facilities are located by helping maintain reliable transportation during his recovery time. We know the economy is not the best right now, but no amount is to small. If you cannot afford to make a monetary donation, and you have taken the time to visit this site, PLEASE click on the hug tab and leave him a kind word. CJ is a viable teen with a heart of gold. He really is a great kid!
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE! We will post updates as we find out more information once his tumors are removed ;)
