The family and friends of Karen Cech are uniting to raise money to help her fight against kidney failure. Please show your support!

Karen was diagnosed with Kidney Renal Failure in 2000, after the birth of her son Nathan. They told her she would have to go on dialysis. Karen did dialysis for 31/2 years, with lots of struggles with her health. Heart problems and constantly tired. She tried to work as often as she could to help support her family, but eventually had to stop due to Karen couldn't even get out of bed most mornings. Karen went in for a check up in August 2004, and they were unable to get her blood pressure any longer. They told her she may make to Christmas, but they really didn't know. And then on September 16th 2004, she got a call saying they had a cadaver kidney for her to get to Clarkson Hospital in Omaha, Ne as soon as she could! The transplant went well, and Karen went on with her life, thanking God everyday for the second chance at life! She was able to continue raising her 8 kids.
Then in 2009 Karen lost her job and her insurance, and was unable to pay for her medications. She called her social worker at the hospital to see what was out there that could help her pay for her medications. They told her there was nothing they could do unless she had insurance. So then in December 2010 Karen's health faded and had to go back on dialysis. She currently is using a port for diaylsis, and has to have that removed due to health reasons. So they put a graft in her arm. She goes for training on how to use the port on January 4th 2012.
Karen is no longer working due to her health, but does recieve Medicaid and social security. Please keep Karen and her family in your thoughts and prayers while she goes through this again. She is really having a hard time dealing with this disease again. If you would like to be tested and would like informatin on how is works, please call me (David, Karen's Fiancee) at 402-352-8576.
We want to thank you for all the prayers and support.
