We are raising money to help pay for the life-saving surgery for our youngest cat, Rhett Butler Trickett!

Our youngest cats, Rhett, had to have emergency surgery this past weekend. He had a blocked urethra and was unable to empty his bladder on his own and had the beginnings of kidney failure. This is a fatal condition and we had two choices: surgery or euthanization. Rhett is not even 2 years old yet. As most of you know, our pets are our children. Putting down an animal for an easily cured condition, solely because of finances, was not an option for us. We adopt animals for the long haul, not to give up on them when they need us. We have been struggling with finances since Chris returned from deployment a couple of years ago, so this has added quite a strain. We are not the type to create a fundraiser that benefits ourselves. However, we have to try every option right now, as we don't have a choice. It's quite a humbling experience. Several of you have offered prayers, positive thoughts, and ideas of paying the bill. We can't thank you all enough for what you have done for us already. Faith in humanity is restored when you see so much love from those around you. If you are able to help us and Rhett, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You can donate on here or directly to Gayton Animal Hospital (804-741-0144...just give them our names). If you are unable to give financially, your positive thoughts, prayers, and kind words help as well. Thank you and much love!
