We are an hispanic working class family who live in a poor neighborhood but own our own home. We are fighting to keep our "Home". Help Us.

Four Years ago we bought a home in a rush because we were being evicted for having a dog. Our son was only one month old and we felt desperate to get a home so he can call his own. Both my husband and I come from a minority back round, and everything that comes with that "title" food stamps, medicaid etc. We both strived to be above that and we somewhat suceeded. We are both high school graduates, we both left college at our 3rd year for unforseen complications. We both have jobs that we believe in their causes. We are still considered "poor" but we make due.
We went to UNITED HOMES for help in finding a house. The realtor saw us coming and sold us the first house we saw. To sweeten the deal they offered us $5,000 for the first year to help pay taxes on the house. We got %100 finance on the house, that was two major loans for this house. The house is located in East New York, not exactly the most safest areas of Brooklyn. We had to do what we had to do for our son. We signed the papers and have been living here for four years. Now we have found our selves stuck. We can not afford our home anymore. 2012 taxes will be going up on houses and we know we will not be able to pay it. We have tried to remodify our loans but they continue to deny us. We are behind in our gas bill, our mortgages, and our water bill. Yes we bit off more than we could chew. We are just looking for a little help to get us back on our feet. We do not want our son to lose the stability he has. We do not wish to become yet another statistic in the hispanic community. Help us please.
