PHS Alum Join to Help Tony Wallace

Many of you might remember Tony Wallace – graduated 1985. I vaguely remembered him as one of the kids that was picked on by bigger, meaner kids.

Well it turns out that Tony lives just a few miles from me now in Orlando and goes to my church – and he’s really down on his luck. If you remember Tony, he was fraught with learning and physical disabilities. He managed to get through life up to the last two years when his physical and mental issues became too severe for him to hold a job. He’s now in a wheel chair most of the time and his short term memory, hearing and other physical impairments simply make him unemployable.

Last week – on Easter Sunday I saw Tony at church (had not seen him in a while) and he was a day away from being homeless. He’s currently living in a very run down hotel with rent money through the end of next week.

His unemployment insurance has expired - he has no income and no short term prospect of any. To make matters more desperate, he has no family. He lost his mother in 1989 and his grandmother in 2005.
Our church is helping as are a few people that know of the situation. We are working on getting Tony into the system (he's not there - hard to imagine) and put a long term plan in place for housing. However, we need help to keep him housed. So, I’m asking for your help. Please prayerfully consider Tony's issue and if you are so moved, donate on this site.

God Bless!
