Amazing Grace is a beautiful 4 yr old who has so much love to give. She is always smiling, even after all that she has been through. Amazing Grace is afflicted with a very rare congenital disease; Robinow's Syndrome. Amazing Grace is in need of more surgery and must fly to Philadelphia to see her surgeon. The incidental costs above and beyond what insurance pays far exceeds the family income.

Here is an article about Amazing Grace as written by her mother, Holly.
Grace was born August 2 2007 she was 8 wks early and was taken to ACH right after birth . There she spent the next 53 days, oh how it felt like a life time to us . She was on a breathing machine and we couldn't even hold her. She got better and at nine days old I held my beautiful baby girl . Four days later she came off the breathing machine and soon after that we got moved up to the third floor and anyone in the NICU knows you are getting close to getting discharged if you are moved, or so we thought. We were told that Grace was asperating when she swallowed and would need a G-TUBE before she would be able to go home. A g-tube is a tube put in to feed you .Then the day came to go home we were scared and excited this was the start of a whole new journey for our family. My amazing Grace on discharge had 19 Doctors and we still have them today. Oh Grace ,had a hard first year she was so sick and there was nothing we could do other than what the Drs were saying. In June 08 she had here first set of ear tubes then in July 08 we were told that she needed brain surgey and they would be placing a VB shunt. We had a rough summer and Grace spent a lot of time in the hospital. She got better and better and is now 2 and is walking . She is in therapy and it so amazing to watch her. This is the child that was not expected to live through the night .We are in the presence of a miracle .God truely hand pick our a
Angel for us. Grace has a church family @ Southshore in Sarasota and they have carried us when we couldn't walk. They have been His hands and feet, what a body of Christ. Now Grace is on a new journey she is preparing for back surgery. As we continue to pray that God carries us. Grace is a little sister to Austin and Katie who are the best sibblings ever!! Baby Grace was dedicated to the Lord on December 12, 2009, oh what a good day.Grace has found a Dr. to perform her spine surgery, the down side is it his practice is in PA. and the good side is that he was the creator of the VEPTR that was placed in her back. VEPTR stands for vertical expandable prostic titaium ribs she had 2 placed and will return every 4-6 month for expansions. She also had rods and bars and a part of her spine fused. After her first surgery in Oct. 2010 we were suppose to be there 7 to 10 days, but ended up being there 5 weeks. The second surgery went much better we were gone only 10days . This hardship on us financially is undiscribable . We can only trust God to see us through.
