The family and friends of Chuck Rudolph are uniting to raise money to help with the expenses from his battle with cancer.

This website is to raise money for my Dad, who has been fighting a very aggressive form of cancer for over 4 years. His medical bills have been astronomical despite the insurance coverage and he has been unable to work to earn money since April of 2010. In fact, both Mom and Dad needed to leave their jobs in Colorado to be in Minnesota for Dad's treatments.

This online fundraiser is in conjunction with a Benefit Event at the Fairmont Methodist Church in Fairmont, MN on October 27, 2012. Our goal is to raise enough money for him to pay off all of his medical expenses so that he can go forward into a new chapter of LIFE without the burden of ongoing medical bills.

In May of this year, Dad spent 5 ½ weeks at the Mayo Clinic in a huge amount of pain. The doctors (several TEAMS of them) could not figure out what was happening. One medical crisis led to another and Dad was unable to communicate with any of us. In fact, he has very little memory of most of those weeks. The fear and sadness during that time is hard to describe and many of you walked through those times with us, and we appreciate your love and support.

Miraculously, Dad has recovered in a way that none of us dared to hope, which is AMAZING. During a recent check-up with the Oncologist, Dr. Markovic basically said that the huge medical crisis in May was an infection in one of the tumors which in its course killed the other tumors as well. Currently Dad is not in pain and the last PET scan showed NO VISIBLE CANCER IN HIS BODY!!!!

We are thanking God for this miracle!

Unfortunately, Dad has a lot of financial burdens that have come along with this devastating illness. Even if he continues to be completely clear of cancer, he and my Mom need some help clearing out the medical bills and expenses. While they have had health insurance during this time, the premiums and deductibles have been high ($900/month plus $4500 a year, and that is just for Dad, Mom is not included in those totals). They also estimate that between East Chain (where they have been staying) and Rochester, they have driven that route at least 120 times in the last year or so. Those trips are 120 miles each way.

Please consider helping us in our goal of giving my Dad the freedom to go forward into this next chapter of life free and clear of both the threat of cancer and the burden of the expenses from his long battle. We hope to see you in Fairmont on October 27, but if you can't be there, please consider an online donation instead.

God Bless you!

Meloni (and the rest of Team Rudolph!)
