Raising money for a baby pug's life saving liver surgery.

Ollie is my 6 month old baby pug. In a way, you could call him a rescue. His previous owner got him after his first pug passed away. A couple of months after, his owner also passed away and Ollie was alone without food or water for a week before anyone found him. We got a call from the owner's son asking if we could take him because he knew we had another pug (Biggie) that we love so much! We took him in immediately without any hesitation.
He has had a bit of a rough start. Aside from being alone for so long, once we got him home he couldn't keep any food in his body. He was very under weight, you could see almost every bone in his body. He never held his tail up and he was very weak and lethargic.. I knew something wasn't right so I scheduled a vet visit for the following day.
After emergency vet visits about once a week for the following month, including x-rays, numerous blood tests, special prescription diets, an endoscopic exam, ultrasounds and 2 CT scans and one surgery later, we finally discovered that he has an extrahepatic liver shunt. His case was pretty severe. Almost all of his blood was bypassing his liver and he wasn't getting any nutrients from his food. We have him on a prescription diet and we give him his medications twice daily.
Without the surgery, we were told he would maybe live 3 to 4 years being medically managed the entire time. With the surgery, we are expecting him to make a full recovery and he will no longer have to be on daily medications!
I decided that I would do whatever I had to do to make sure he got his surgery and that he will live a full, happy and healthy life! A couple of maxed credit accounts later, and Ollie is now in recovery from his surgery. He is like a completely different puppy! He runs and plays and is the bossiest dog I have ever met! He is slowly putting on weight and has only had a couple of problems since he got his surgery. His next vet check-up is April 22nd, and we are hoping that we will be told that the procedure was a success and we will start weening him off of all of his prescriptions.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read Ollie's story. Every single donation helps no matter the amount!!!

Thank you!!
