The family of Mark Zingerman is trying to raise money to help him with his battle against cancer. Money will be used for medical bills.

On April 15, 2012, our families life change once again. My father, Mark Zingerman, was diagnosed with Esophageal Sarcoma. When we first were told about the diagnoses, the doctors believe that it was stage 3 but as of July 16, the doctors now know that it is stage 4 and has spread to his liver. My family is devastated by this news. Also this isn't the first time our family has been through this. We lost my aunt (my father's sister) to cancer in 2006 and in April 2008, I (Mark's daughter) was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma. I have been in remission since December 2008 and hopefully we will be able to say the same about my father. Money has been very tight and we have run out of options. We have applied to many charities and have been turned down by most. We were even told that cancer is not an emergency and we could not get help. My parents have both applied for state benefits but we've been told it will take 5 months before we receive any help. As we wait for help from the state more and more bills keep coming. My father receives his chemo in Boca Raton which is an hour away from where we live. My parents have to stay at a hotel the night before chemo and the night after because he can't sit in a car for too long. The trips to Boca take a huge toll on us and it is only going to get worse. My father will soon beginning radiation along with his chemo. The radiation will be everyday for 5 weeks straight meaning my parents will have to stay in Boca for 5 weeks. We still have no idea how we are going to pay for this. My family is running out of options. We need help. Any donation will help use. Without them, my father may not be able to go to Boca and start his radiation. Please any donation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Jennifer Zingerman and The Zingerman family.

My father's condition has sadly gotten worse. It went from being stage 3 to being stage 4. It has also spread to his liver. This has change some things but our goal still remains the same. We appreciate all the love and support we have received.
