Chaplain Gail who helps so many, now needs your help as she faces open heart surgery. Please help Gail meet her co-payment for the surgery.

During her recent annual checkup the doctor found a problem with Chaplain Gail's heart.  Two days later Gail received a cardiac cateterizaiton, and learned the shocking news that she has two heart valves that need to be replaced, and one valve is leaking blood into her body.  There is also some damage to the heart wall.  Gail needs open heart surgery as soon as possible.

Gail has good insurance and enough vacation time saved up to take time off from work, but the large copayments requried for her to have the surgery are far beyond Gail's ability to pay. Please help us raise money to allow Gail's surgery to be scheduled, and help Gail get the healing she needs.

Chaplain Gail Torres is an integral member of the healthcare team at Maricopa Integrated Health System (MIHS), and provides pastoral/spiritual care for patients, family and staff. In the often stressful and demanding healthcare environment, Chaplain Gail is an understanding friend and confidant. (If more funds are raised than are needed for Gail's medical co-payments, Gail will donate the extra to the Helping Hands for Employees program at MIHS).

One patient’s family member recently wrote to Gail to say, “Thank you for being my soft spot to fall, my family away from family”.

Won't you please help be Gail's "soft spot to fall" in her time of need? Thank you !
