Friends of Eric Von Rotz are uniting to raise money to help with expenses from his cancer diagnosis. Please help in any way you can!

Eric Von Rotz, our dear friend, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December, 2010. He is fighting the battle of his life. He did everything he could to beat this. Unfortunately, it was not to be. His cancer was deemed terminal.

Eric is enjoying his days now with his loving family. His wife, Rose, keeps us all updated. But what is not said is how difficult a diagnosis of terminal cancer can be on an entire family. When you hear of a friend in need, prayers are immediate, abundant & welcomed. We hope that Eric's friends can help to make his days a bit easier with any size donation. We thank you in advance. Eric's beautiful daughter, Margaret, was asked to write something for this site. It follows:

"Eric, my amazing, loving father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on December 23, 2010. The doctors said it was inoperable because of the size of the tumor, so my dad underwent radiation & chemotherapy hoping to shrink the tumor. The chemo made my dad so sick that he was in the hospital many times.

Unfortunately, on the anniversary of his diagnosis with cancer, he was again in the hospital. During this time my parents were told that the cancer had spread to his liver & that treatment was no longer needed because the cancer was terminal.

As you can imagine, the emotional & financial toll it has taken on our parents has been incredibly hard. My dad has medical insurance but there are other medical bills, treatments, medications, & other related expenses. Since my dad is in no condition to work, my mom is the only one working while still finding time to take care of our family.

I would like to get a job & help but the majority of my time is spent doing schoolwork for the International Baccalaureate program at my school. My parents always tell my brother & I to focus on schoolwork & let them do the worrying. But we still felt the need to do something. If you can please help assist my parents with all the expenses, we would ve very grateful. We want our dad to enjoy whatever time he has with us without worrying too much. We love our dad so much.

Even if you cannot make a donation, a simple prayer would make a big difference too. We'll never give up hope for our daddy! God Bless!!!
