Help the friends of Jenna Clayton and Mary Clayton raise money to renovate an old bathroom and meet her special physical and medical needs.

We're asking for your help for Jenna Clayton, a wonderfully courageous young woman.

Many of you probably know much of Jenna’s story:
• How she was born with Down Syndrome and without an esophagus,
• How she has endured multiple surgeries and remains classified as “castastrophically ill,”
• How her mother, Mary Clayton, has struggled financially and physically – against unbelievably difficult odds, to provide Jenna with as “normal” a life and comfortable home as possible.

You may even have expressed your support for Jenna and Mary with contributions in the past. For that, Jenna and Mary are grateful beyond their ability to express.

We are asking you once again to open your hearts and to consider opening your pocketbooks to the extent that you can to help Jenna and Mary.

Friends of Jenna and Mary are working to raise $ 15,000 to cover the cost of renovating Jenna’s bathroom which is currently woefully inadequate to meet her special needs.

That’s not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things; but when your world is filled with the astronomical medical costs that have been a daily presence in Mary Clayton’s life since the birth of Jenna 22 years ago, $15,000 might as well be $150,000.

Many of Jenna’s “Angels” already have been at work to make this special need a reality. The design and working drawings for the renovations have been generously provided pro bono by interior designer Carolyn Cook, the owner of LiveSmart Design, who is an expert in handicapped- accessible design. Al Schilling, a general contractor and owner of Schilling Home Improvement, has offered to provide his services pro bono to handle demolition and construction. Each of them has obtained in-kind donations from their suppliers as well.

Additional financial help must be found to make this dream come true.

Jenna’s family has been devastated by the medical bills and other unique challenges they have faced. The costs of Jenna’s daily care, her continuous hospitalizations and nursing support are ever present and growing. An added complication is that Jenna’s mother and one of her primary care-givers both have complex illnesses and medical needs too.
