The family and friends of Tristen Schultz are uniting to raise money to help Michelle provide the best care for Tristen.

Life threatening illnesses are traumatic and stressful. All adults face them at some time in their lives either directly or indirectly. But, when the illness is born by a very young child, there is heartbreak so many magnitudes greater.

Such is the situation for Tristen Schultz, a little boy less than one year old. For the first nine months of his life, he was a typical, happy, contented baby and his mother's joy. Then, without warning, everything changed when he was struck with life threatening seizures that prevented his ability to breathe. Had his mother not been with him when the first seizure occurred, the likely outcome would have been fatal. Now, even after frequent hospital stays and extensive testing and consultation with experts from around the country, the seizures continue and the reason for Tristen's seizure disorder is still a medical mystery.

Tristen's single mother, Michelle Schultz, is faced with the very real possibility that her child may never get a diagnosis or effective treatment for his seizures. Absolute security for Tristan will only come when his mother quits her job so she can stay with, and protect her child twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Obviously, Michelle's financial needs are, and will continue to be, extraordinary.

There is help from social services but it has limits and Michelle will need all the additional emotional and financial support she can get. Donations of any size given to this site which will provide immeasurable comfort and support for Michelle and her son.

Thank you for your support though this difficult time in our lives.
