Surfer is a sweet dog found hit by a car in Nicaragua. He badly needs surgery to help repair his damaged hip. We need to raise funds to bring him here to the US for the medical care he needs, so he can live a happy pain-free life!
Last summer in San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua, a good Samaritan turned in a dog they found on the beach, hurt from being hit by a car. The local veterinary clinic has been taking care of him, however they lack the equipment or the staff to properly diagnose or treat Surfer's injuries, the worst of which is a badly damaged hip.
Recently, a vet and technician from Oldtown Veterinary Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina visited the clinic and realized that Surfer would be a wonderful pet for someone, if only his damaged hip could be repaired. He is in constant pain.
In an attempt to alleviate Surfer's pain and provide him with a forever home, we are raising money to cover the costs of bringing Surfer to our clinic. Then he could be properly evaluated and the full extent of his injuries known. Our doctor will donate her time, but funds are needed to cover various diagnostics, such as bloodwork and xrays, as well as the surgery and post-surgery aftercare and therapy.
Please donate to Surfer's fund! He is a sweet dog who has led a very hard life and deserves a chance to live pain-free in a loving home!
