This fundraiser is to make a home addition to our house that is fully accessible to me so that I can keep living at home

I have Rett Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. Combine the two and you have a progressively worsening condition of movement. At age 14 I became wheelchair bound. At age 20 I was diagnosed with Rett. At age 21, now, my spasticity is getting worse and my upper body control too is getting worse. This means that I have to get a head array control system to drive my wheelchair using my head, the only large issue is right now as it stands when I am unable to navigate the house someone will need to use the secondary attendant joystick to navigate it for me such as getting into my room or to other areas of the house. Our bathroom is not wheelchair accessible at all and results in a long risky shuffle for the toilet. Something as simple and taken for granted as taking a bath or using the toilet is far from simple for me because of our houses accessibility issues. It is our plan to acquire $120,000 so that we can build a large add on, creating a house within a house, for me that is completly accessible and contains assistive technologies that will make my life easier and make my parents life easier too. This addition will be 100% wheelchair accessible, have a roll in shower, have an easy to transfer to raised toilet, electronic environmental controls that will link into my wheelchair and other items that are necessary to make life optimal.

Our house is currently partially accessible through a ramp at the front into the living room. However it is extremely difficult to navigate to my room, impossible to get into the bathroom, and very difficult to get into the kitchen.
