Mr. Walkenshaw's autism classroom needs assistive technology. Funds will be used to help get an Ipad to assist student learning.

I teach a class that serves students that have been diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum, most severely disabled, as well as, being diagnosed with an emotional or behavioral disturbance.

My classroom is in the Joplin School district that was decimated by a tornado in May. My students have a great need for materials, but we are in short supply, as I have lost many of my classroom supplies.

I am raising money to acquire an Ipad to aid my students. There has been much research recently that points to the Ipad being a "miracle device" for autistic students, especially those with sever communication deficiencies which my students have.

Please donate to help put a resource that is revolutionizing autism education in the hands of my students.
