The family and friends of Peyton Gifford are uniting to raise money to help with her on going heart complications. Please show your support!

Peyton (Peanut) was born May 14, 2010 with a very rare heart defect called truncus arteriosus.Due to the complications of Peyton's heart her mother (Melody)and father (Bryan) had to relocate to Dallas, Texas, which was four hours away from home. They delivered Peyton at St. Paul's Hospital. While most new parents get the opportunity to meet their new bundle of joy, Peyton was immediately whisked away by ambulance to Children's Hospital. Once Melody was released from the hospital her and Bryan stayed at the Ronald McDonald House spending endless hours with Peyton at the hospital. To complicate the situation more their four year old daughter Abbi was not able to be in Dallas with them due to hospital policies.
At the tender age of one week old a 7lb. 2oz. baby Peyton under went a very complicated and long open heart surgery. After the surgery was complete Bryan and Melody were called in to see their sweet little Peanut for the first time. The doctors felt it was best to leave her chest open due to swelling of the heart. As you can imagine this is not how any parent would want to see their baby. The next few weeks were spent trying to teach Peyton how to eat in order to gain weight, and learning to breathe on her own. After many weeks and lots of prayers Peyton was finally moved out of ICU and to a regular cardiac floor. Giving Melody and Bryan hope that their Dallas journey would soon come to an end.
When they were finally able to leave she was being followed up with a team of cardiologist. Melody and Bryan took Peyton to the cardiologist regularly with a glimpse of hope that things were getting better. Unfortunately, things seemed to be getting worse. At this point she under goes surgery every six months and at the last surgery Melody and Bryan were told the devastating news that if things don't improve with her heart Peyton will be facing a heart transplant.
Peyton is now approaching two years old and full of life. You would never know her heart is different, but unfortunately the older she gets she will have less opportunities than most kids her age because of her health. Raising money for Peyton would help her family pay their enormous debt that continues to accumulate in hopes to fix Peyton's broken heart.
The family has strong faith in the good Lord, and sees that everyday with their angel Peyton as a blessing and true gift from God. Please help this family give Peyton the chance at life she deserves.
