This is Jessie J Wilbourn Cancer Fighting Fund, use for medical cost supplies and related expenses not cover by insurance

On the 2nd of July 2012 we were told my husband (Jessie James Wilbourn) had a mass in his throat with an opening the size of a pea. The Dr said "I don’t see how he is breathing let alone eating". And he wanted to perform a tracheotomy. I said put a tube in his throat now? He replied yes as soon as possible we can schedule it for tomorrow morning. We paused it was all too much too fast, we thought the worst was he would need his tonsil out.

So the doc said we will set it up for the 5th at 7:00am but be here at 5:30am. I asked would the biopsy be back by then, he said yes it should. We left in shock but trying to be positive. I prepared ribs potato salad and banana pudding and lemonade for independence day. We were contemplating what the morning will bring. so much so that we forgot to watch the fire works this year.

We went to the hospital, but before my husband went into surgery we were told that it was cancer 4th stage Squamous cell carcinoma it is inoperable. After surgery Dr said he was doing ok he was a hard trac to do but he ok, but while he was in surgery they used a used instrument on him from the patient before, (crazy huh) he apologized. But I wanted to know about this cancer. I asked him why cant he operate? Dr said. Because he would have to remove everything in his mouth and throat his tonsils, his lymph node glands. Uvular, tongue palate. voice box and tongue and it might not get it all and the quality of life left is what you have to consider. Then he said “ I don’t believe in giving a person a time on how much longer they are going to live, but this will be a tough up hill battle be prepared.” I didn’t tell my husband this I don’t want him to reserve himself to die I want him to fight. But the insurance is only paying for a third of what he needs we need to fight this we have tapped out every thing we have. we cant even get supplies to clean the trac but one time a day and he needs it at least 3 to 4 because he’s secreting lots of mucus that mucus plug clog his air way. And his chemo and radiation hasn’t started yet 5 days a week for 7 weeks to start with. And all his Drs and treatments are 90 miles away. and that is the closest good facility.

Please we need your support to fight this monster they cancer. But not only your money, we also need your prayers

If you prefer to mail a check you may do so in Jessie's name to Clarissa Wilbourn, 511 east 13th st, Caruthersville, Missouri 63830
