Family, friends and fans are uniting to raise money to help send Tyler to India for Embryonic stem cell injections.

Tyler Nelson has been an avid motorcycle rider for most of his 24 years. He learned to ride and was racing by age seven. For two consecutive years he chased points in the USRA circuit taking the #1 Plate in Desert and placing in the top 10 in motocross and flat track.

Tyler was recently number one in points in the Motorcycle Racing Association of Nevada Desert Series and following the RMX Motocross. While racing in Rupert Idaho on May 14, 2011 Tyler went to clear a double and over-jumped it. He came down on the bars with his chest and flipped over his bike breaking his back at T6 and T7. His spinal cord was completely kinked. He also suffered three broken ribs and separated his shoulder.

Tyler was air lifted to Salt Lake City and admitted into University of Utah Hospital. Within a couple of hours he was taken into surgery. Surgeons fused his back with rods and screws from T4 to T10. The doctors are calling Tyler’s injury a complete spinal cord injury. His chances of ever walking again are slim but that does not stop him from wanting to be a part of the elite putting all his heart and soul into his recovery.

Tyler has an incredible attitude and his spirits are high. He has all intentions of walking and riding again.
