I am trying to raise money to help pay vet bills for a group of elderly cats that have ongoing age related medical issues.

I am retired and at this time my only income is my
Social Security check and a small pension. I have been
rescuing cats and rabbits for close to 25 years and up
until now I've, for the most part, been able to supply food,
litter and medical care for all of those I've taken in over
the years. All cats and rabbits I've ever rescued have
been spayed or neutered.

But now because of some health issues and my inability
to work part time to supplement my Soc. Sec. income,
and a group of aging cats and rabbits who are in need
of more extensive medical care, I'm finding it harder to
keep up with the ongoing vet bills.

I want to be able to care for all of them as long as their
quality of life is good. I've had cats that lived from 17 to
20 years and rabbits that lived up to 14 years. The
current group of 6 cats are 15 and 16 years of age, and
are beginning to have age related problems that are
requiring not only multiple procedures but ongoing
medications. I continue to work with my Vet to make sure
that they have quality of life while undergoing needed
care.

When I decided to begin rescuing 25 years ago, I made
a commitment to take care of any animal I took in as long
as they lived. I've been able to do that because I was
working and because the ages had at least a year between them so there weren't multiple age related issues. This group just happened to be all near the same age and began having age related problems at the same time.

All of my babies are very important to me and I will do
everything possible to make sure they are cared for
properly, but any assistance I can get would help so much until I can go back to work. So I want to thank any
and all who are able to help me at this time and please
know that in the future when I get back on my feet, I will
pay it forward.
