Frank is an adorable 40lb pit-pug mix with black fur and blue eyes that was adopted in March of 2007 from Animal Rescue of Fresno. Frank has been the love of his adoptive mom's life ever since. On February 14th, 2010 Frank celebrated his 3rd (21st in dog years) birthday at his beautiful home in Sacramento.

Frank had been living a wonderful life full of love until the evening of Thursday August 5th when he was struck by a truck on a neighborhood street. The truck continued driving leaving Frank on the side of the road. Frank's mother quickly found Frank lying lifeless in the street with blood streaming from his mouth. Frank was rushed to the vet emergency center at VCA veterinary referral center were he was determined to be in severe shock. After heroic efforts Frank was stabilized and his prognosis was shaky, he had 3 broken ribs, a collapsed lung, multiple abrasions, concussion, brain swelling, and he had bit through his tongue.

Frank's prognosis is okay for now; he is in a lot of pain and spends most of his time in his crate at home. His tongue healed quickly so now he can eat regular food and really enjoys being taken outside on his leash to go potty. Wednesday August 18th will be his one week anniversary of being home from the hospital. Everyday is a blessing.
