Global Outreach Advocating Women's Rights in Nicaragua!

My name is Sarah Tazghini. I am currently a junior at Fordham University, double majoring in Psychology and Sociology. This spring, from March 12th-20th, I will be traveling to Nicaragua with Global Outreach (GO!). GO! is an organization at Fordham that sends students on social justice and learning immersion projects both in the United States and around the world. The goal of this program is to help students learn about issues of poverty and injustice that plague our global society. For more information about Global Outreach please visit their website at:

While in Nicaragua, I, (along with my team of nine other female students), will be working with a community resource center called, Bridges to Community. The GO Nicaragua project focuses on learning about the rights of women through this cross cultural lens. My team and I will provide aid, services, mentoring, and resources to the women of the community center while we are there. I am looking forward to the enriching experience, but it will be a lot of hard work! For more information about Bridges to Community, you can visit their website at:

I am writing to ask for your help in participating in this project. I am financially responsible for all expenses incurred during the project including: food, travel, accommodations, donations to the site, and more). The total cost will be $2,200, and any donation that you can provide to defray these costs would be extremely appreciated.

Thanks so much for your time. I hope you consider donating whatever you’re comfortable with and able to give. My team and I feel strongly about our cause and I will appreciate it immensely. I am sure that I will have an amazing experience in Nicaragua thanks to your assistance. When I return, I will tell you all about it!
