Please join us to help Kate Riordan overcome the crippling impact of Lyme disease that has left her bedridden and incapacitated.

Last year Kate first contracted the virus Shingles and after months of conflicting medical opinions was also diagnosed with Lyme disease, a debilitating bacterial infection; both diseases destroyed her immune system. After months of dealing with the diseases, she still cannot get around without the aid of a walker and only then can amble for a few feet. She has been dealing with unbearable pain in her hips, knees, ankles and toes combined with severe weakness, and has sustained multiple injuries from falling when her right leg collapses unexpectedly. Debilitating headaches and a mental haze common to Lyme disease are rendering her unable to do the type of creative work necessary for her public relations business.

After she received a positive diagnosis of Lyme disease she endured a painful 28-day course of intravenous antibiotic treatments. But so far there has been no relief from the chronic pain and suffering. Health insurance typically pays for only three weeks of antibiotic treatments and then it’s up to the individual to pay for all other medical expenses. This can continue for years. This is why we are appealing for your help.

As her close friends, a few of us have been assisting Kate with house-keeping chores, driving her to weekly doctors’ appointments, preparing meals, picking up groceries, and giving her love, support and Tellington TTouch.

Now we are reaching out to a broader community asking for your compassion and generosity to help Kate gain peace of mind by having a secure financial base to support her through this devastating health crisis. We are committed to supporting her until she can return to wellness and a normal life.

Finding effective medical treatment to heal Lyme disease is a very expensive process. That is why we are appealing to you.

What goes around comes around. Kate Riordan has been contributing to family, friends, and community during her entire adult life. Now it’s time for her to receive.

For more than 20 years Kate has dedicated much time to helping others in her community in the Sierra Nevada foothills. She has contributed her journalistic expertise and served on boards of non-profit organizations including The American River Conservancy, The Western States Trail Foundation that sponsors the Tevis Cup Ride, as well as a unique group that brings quality musical programs to the non-profit, community-driven Georgetown, California area. In addition, she is affiliated with the Georgetown Divide Music Program, providing musical instruments, uniforms and attire for the high school band and choir.

She has been the editor of Sierra Heritage Magazine, highlighting the culture of the California Gold Rush Country; The California Horse Review, Pacific Coast Quarter Horse Journal and The Anvil, a magazine dedicated to the farrier trade.  She has written articles for more than 200 magazines around the world

Since 1984 she has been teaming up with Linda Tellington-Jones to write magazine articles and public relations material helping to spread the message of the Tellington TTouch Training Method in 29 countries.

And those of you who have attended the International Tellington TTouch Conferences in Phoenix, Arizona and Santa Fe, New Mexico have admired Kate’s skill in creating the spectacular programs that bring the TTouch family together around the world.

It can take a major effort to recover and return to the mental clarity required to function creatively. Our quest is to help Kate fund a Lyme literate doctor and the costly protocol so she can get on her feet and back to business.

Please join us in helping Kate return to wellness.  Thank you very much.
