Helping kids attend Magic in the Rockies.

Tyler Lippstreu lived a full life that ended too soon at 22. Since Tyler was fascinated with magic, his mom decided that setting up a fund to help other kids get involved in magic and attend Magic in the Rockies each year. The scholarship will pay for room, board, travel to and from the Denver airport (DIA), and a full convention registration for one kid to attend each year.

The criteria for getting a scholarship is pretty simple. Write a two or three paragraph story about your life in magic. How you got interested, who influenced and influences you today and how attending MITR will make a difference in your life. Most importantly we need to know why you need financial assistance to come and how you plan to pay for your travel expenses like airfare. Fundraising, it's affordable if all I need to do is buy a ticket or miles on a credit card. We just want to make sure you can make it if you are awarded the scholarship.

Entrance limited to those under the age of 18 prior to the start of the convention. A parent must accompany the child but the room permits up to 4 in two double beds if you wish to bring family. There is no parent registration for MITR but we will provide a tickets to any shows and lunches. The total cash food allowance will be $150.00 for 4 days and 3 nights provided on a prepaid credit card. Travel to events at the convention will need to be arranged by asking a friendly local magician to give you a lift (it's how everyone does it). There is transportation provided by MITR. Parking is free if you bring or rent a car.
