Emergency surgery for Sheba

Anyone who knows me knows I have 4 legged daughters. I have been raised with persian cats my whole life. The love of the breed came from my father who's first cat was named Sheba.

A special needs little himalayan found her way to me in December of 2005. Oddly, I had first seen her in October of 2005 on Petfinder. But when I called to inquire about her they told me she had been picked up by a rescue. Helping Persians was that rescue and two months later they INSISTED I meet this special little kitty.
When I arrived, I discovered that this kitty was indeed the same kitty from 2 months before. So literally . . . Sheba FOUND me!!

And it was for good reason too. Sheba knew she needed a Momma who would be totally devoted to her and her health issues . . . which there are many. But through it all, we have bonded and she is like no other kitty I have loved before her.

Today, I found out . . . she needs emergency eye surgery.

She suffered a corneal ulcer this past summer which took 2 months to finally kick. This past weekend similar symptoms appeared and she was in extreme pain. I took her to the ER who provided her pain relief until we could get into the eye specialist at the Eye Care for Animals.

The vet was amazed at how fast the ulcer progressed in such a short time period of time. It had nearly perforating her left eye, and the right eye has a significant ulceration. Vet stated that surgery could not wait.

The estimate I was given is for $3750. Sheba does have health insurance but the claim is subject to approval.
I am more than happy to provide receipts, documentation and any funds that are not used will happily be returned.

And if you cannot donate, your prayers are welcomed and appreciated nonetheless.

Love and kitty kisses,

Jordan and "Sheebs"
