For Kim's Fight Against Osteosarcoma

Kim was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in February of 2012, Osteosarcoma is a form of cancer within the bone. The doctor’s believe that Kim’s condition was exacerbated during her last pregnancy and that she may have been living with it for about 5yrs and never have known. Since her diagnoses, she has had chemotherapy treatments, radiation, and has had her left hip and part of her pelvic bone removed. Kim is only 32yrs old and is a mother of four beautiful children who are 9yrs old, 7yrs old, 4yrs old, and 10months. She is also a Baltimore City school teacher who has continued to work as much as she can during her treatments and surgery. Most people don't realize how intense the treatments really are and how it doesn't only affect that person, but it affects everyone around them as well. In recent days Kim and her family were devastated when told by doctors that she has a ten percent chance to live five years. Her husband and family are extremely helpful and supportive, but financially they are struggling to maintain with medical bills and normal household expenses. Please help Kim and her family through this tough time.
Kim is such an incredibly strong person and so full of life, if you've met her you already know what a truly amazing person she is. She is fighting hard to get through her treatments, and battling the harsh effects of the chemotherapy. Kim is currently restricted to using a walker and wheelchair to get around, but she doesn't let that stop her from getting out and enjoying life as much as she can. She is a wonderful mother, a great friend, and with your support we can make her life a little less stressful.
