Is there anyway possible for you to help my long time family friend Melanie. She's in a real bad place financially. Every lil bit helps!

Taken from a letter Melanie received from her health insurance company...

Dear Melanie Rosenthal, (aka Melons)

Our records indicate that you submitted an application for health insurance for yourself which was signed on May 31, 2011. Your health coverage was approved June 2, 2011.

We have received a request for services relative to a diagnosis of "Malignant neoplasm of other unspecified sites of female breast".

Please note that your medical providers may not be paid for any services rendered under your coverage agreement until we review your records. IN OTHER WORDS -

........WELCOME TO BLUE SHIELD..........

We are so sorry to find out that at the very young age of 35 you have been diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. While we understand your entire world is caving in on you and you're scared and feel alone, we wanted to take this opportunity to tell you and your family of five that, while we are a billion dollar industry we might not be able to cover your medical bills. You see chemo cost on average 17k a session and quite frankly we think we might be able to find a loop hole in your policy. If we can squeeze out then by all means we are outta here. So bare with us while we investigate, and those doctors you are relying on to take such great care of you probably won't get paid. We will be in touch.

How? How is something like this possible? No phone call, no sugar coating, just large very wealthy insurance company writes a letter as if Melanie was a robot with a hard drive processing the multi million dollar company's words.

Below is a message from the Rosenthal family:

Hi Everyone,
As we are facing some challenges in addition to and compounded by the cancer (financial and insurance related), Foster a Mircle Inc. has been moved to fundraise for us and are doing several things to help our “cause”. We are blessed and humbled by these amazing friends and their actions. We acknowledge that above all, our faith is what gives us the strength and perseverance to get through these current challenges, as it has in the past and will in the future. We also know that God uses people to help us through our trials – and we ALL need each other. We are thankful and grateful for everyone’s prayers, love, and support. God bless you all.
The Rosenthal Family
