Family and friends of Nancy Graton are uniting to raise money to help with her battle against colon cancer. Please lend support.

Family and friends whose lives have been touched by my loving and caring sister Nancy Graton, please unite to help ease the financial burden that Nancy and her husband Joe have been struggling with, to pay for chemotherapy treatments, surgeries, medical bills and insurance co-pays related to her diagnosis of Stage 4 colo-rectal cancer. In April 2011, Nancy was given the sad news that she had Stage 4 colon cancer. On her birthday in May, she underwent re-sectioning surgery of her colon to remove a very large tumor. A short while later she learned that the cancer had metasticized to her liver, as well. In July 2011 she started the long arduous process of chemotherapy. It has been just over one year since Nancy started therapies and drug treatments to shrink the tumors currently existing on her liver. A couple of weeks ago, in her weakened state, Nancy fell and sustained a seriously fractured hip. She underwent surgical repair to pin her hip into place but a couple of days after her surgery, one of the pins broke. Currently it is too risky for her to undergo another surgical procedure and while her wound is healing, she is unable to undergo any further chemo to keep her cancer arrested.
A diagnosis of cancer changes every single aspect of ones' life. It not only affects your mental and physical health, it affects your career, your relationships, your financial security and your future. Nancy has always been an inspiration to me during the hard times in my life. How she has lived her life, raised her children and cared for her husband, how she has interacted with our parents and friends and the lessons she has taught me are a part of who I am. Nancy has a caring and gentle spirit. I pray that she will be blessed with many many more years of life. Please help Nancy with her battle to survive this terrible disease.
