"Give Sunshine" to a little girl who can't be exposed to sunlight.

Anna Liberty is our cute 5-year old with a very rare disease.

Some assume that she's allergic to the sun. It's actually worse than that.

She was born with Xeroderma Pigmentosum (or XP), which means her skin can never be exposed to direct sunlight. She's 10,000 times more likely to develop skin cancer, and she'll sunburn in minutes.

Since she can't have direct sunshine touch her skin - we're asking you to share what you've been given to help provide "Sunshine for Anna."

(Watch a short video we made about Anna and her XP condition)

When we watch other kids running through the sprinklers, or feeling the rain on their faces, it's hard to know that Anna can't do the same without first putting on gloves, a special UV-blocking hat and face shield, and long sleeves and pants.

Our ultimate goal is to help find a cure, but in the meantime, we're raising funds to help make life better for Anna.

Your donation will help Anna in several ways:

  • Getting her best sun-protective gear (Hats, gloves, swimming suits, etc)
  • Help to purchase the sunblock and other supplies
  • Pay for medical expenses (genetic testing, and other specialist visits)
  • Building a safe place to play indoors!

We hope to raise enough to build Anna an indoor playground. That's why we have such a bold goal.  Picture a large glass room, allowing safe, UV-free light so Anna can play and feel the warm sunlight on her face.  A place where she can run, jump, climb, and play with other kids, without having to be covered from head to toe.  A place for her to have fun and be safe. Something like this, but on a much smaller scale.

Learn more about Xeroderma Pigmentosum, how we found out that Anna has it, and more on our blog,

Please give what you can.
