The friends & family of Nicole are uniting to raise money to help cover medical expenses related to her care & treatment of Crohn's

Nicole was diagnosed with Crohn's in January of 2008. In the last 3 1/2 years she has been hospitalized numerous times with complications from the disease. Her situation is unique and puzzling to the doctors because she has suffered from many side effects of the disease and from the medications used to treat it. Despite their best efforts, the doctors have been unable to find a medication that brings her disease under control.

As a result, her parents, Rick and Elizabeth, have made numerous trips to hospitals in St. Louis and Chicago. Even consultations with the doctors there have not yielded positive long-term results for Nicole. They are currently investigating Cincinnati Children's Hospital as an option for further treatment for Nicole.

While the family does have health insurance, medical bills are still piling up. There are a great deal of out-of-pocket expenses the family incurs when they travel to hospitals for further treatment.

Nicole is currently in the hospital with numerous infections and is not responding to treatment. The doctors are baffled and are uncertain as to when Nicole will be able to go home.

Nicole Wheatley is a vibrant, energetic young girl who loves cheerleading, acting, her friends, and helping others. She has a heart for the hurting, especially children. Nicole embodies true compassion and love for others. This young lady even organized a fundraiser to support Crohn's research with minimal help from her parents.

Would you please consider partnering with us to help cover some of the medical bills the family has incurred? All of us are blessed enough to be a blessing to others.
