My cat Oliver needs veterinary care for a respiratory infection. Please help in any way you can so he can feel better.

Oliver is one of four cats I adopted several years ago. They are all related and came from a situation where an elderly couple started out with two cats, didn't know the benefits of spaying and neutering, and within a short amount of time had a house filled with about 100 cats.

With so many cats I doubt that any of them got any type of attention in their early days. Because of that start, I believe that is why they are not the most affectionate or social cats around. They are sweet and eventually warmed up to me, but they tend to not be very trusting of new people coming into the picture. Except for Oliver. He's not afraid of anyone and greets people as if he's known them for years.

Unfortunately Oliver has always been more susceptible to infections and has had several. He currently has a respiratory infection which is making it very difficult for him to breathe. He's sneezing constantly and his eyes are draining as well. Because it's hard for him to breathe it's also hard for him to eat. Oliver is usually talkative and playful throughout the day, but this infection has him lethargic and not even wanting to be touched. It truly breaks my heart that he's going through this.

Because I haven't been working for the past few months, other than some freelance things here and there, I can't afford to take Oliver to the vet. It's always very hard for me to ask for help, but I have to do this for him. He's only 6 years old and I want him to have a good, long life. Any money donated will go to his vet visits, medications and any follow up treatments.

I know that money is tight for a lot of people right now, but I have to try. If you could help out with $1, $3, $5 or whatever you can, or share this link with family and friends it would mean so much to me and Oliver. We (Oliver and I) appreciate anything you can do to support, even if it's just a promise to share this with your friends. (The direct link: http://www.giveforward.com/helpoliver)
