Family and friends of Brian Blumn are uniting to raise funds to help while he battles Stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma. Please show your support!

By now, most of you have read this profile of Brian's illness. In April, a lump was removed from his neck and identified as Stage 3A Classical Nodular Sclerosis aka Stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma. Cancer. Treatment: 4-6 months of chemo every two weeks. ABVD. The good news is that the chemo is working. His most recent PET scan showed dramatic improvement. But the doctors are not ready to stop the chemo treatments and risk regression. He has had 7 treatments and there are 5 left to go. It is because of his incredible attitude and very high spirits that he will get through this. However, his treatment is starting to get rough. It's a vicious cycle of chemo on Friday, nausea all weekend, extreme tiredness, and a litany of other chemo symptoms, but he just keeps on ticking! He pushes himself beyond limits, trying to work and stay ahead. He misses 1-2 days a week at work, which is unpaid, and that is a financial problem for the family. And the medical bills are starting to come in. But they remain positive, and what is important is that he stay positive and stress free. That is where we all come in. Friends and family want to help, so "Brian's Fund" was founded to help them to defray some of the additional expenses not covered by insurance, as well as unpaid time from work, which will become an additional stressor. Brian is fighting the battle of his life. We can't change this disease, but we can change how they fight it! If you can help with even the smallest donation, it would be very helpful. Every little bit counts. And we have several people who will match donations under $50, so even the smallest amount will be doubled. Thank you all for your donations, support and most importantly prayers. We do believe in miracles and we pray for one each day. God Bless you all, The Family of Brian Christopher Blumn If you would prefer to mail a check, you may do so in Brian's name and send to: Connie Easley, 3313 9th Ave CT NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98335. I will make sure that it is deposited to his medical account. If you have any questions or would like to speak to a family representative please feel free to call: Connie Easley at 253-389-5000.
