Jessica's family is raising money to help support her medical bills at MD Anderson in Houston, TX

Jessica was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in October 2012 at the age of 26. Since then, The amazing oncology staff at MD Anderson immediately began chemotherapy and performed surgery in March 2013 to remove the source tumor and many others from her abdomen. The surgery was successful and with the help of continued chemotherapy and by God's grace, her tumors have been shrinking every since! Jess, Jacob, Caydence, and Cayleigh have been really busy since Jess's surgery: Jess graduated from the University of Houston with an Education degree, Caydence turned 5, Cayleigh turned 3, and Jess turned 27. They have been on trips to San Antonio to visit Sea World, a Corpus Christi beach trip, and Jess got to go home to Columbia, TN to visit her Tennessee family for the first time since her diagnosis. Jessica will continue to receive chemotherapy biweekly until October - the anniversary of her diagnosis- when doctors will scan again to see what progress this round of treatment has had. We believe and are praying that the scan in October will fulfill God's promise of healing for Jess and that belief has filled her heart with peace and the given her the strength to continue this battle. In addition to prayers and words of encouragement from family and friends, any financial help that can be provided is appreciated more than we can say. Jess has amazing health insurance but there is an out of pocket amount that must be met every year. This fundraiser is to ensure that the financial burden of this awful illness can be lifted from Jessica and Jacob. Thank you all so much for your continued support and please keep Jessica and her family on your prayer list!
