Katy's family and friends are raising money to help offset medical and living expenses as she fights brain cancer. Please show your support!

In spring 2012, Katy was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor that is very rare for a healthy thirty year old. After two brain surgeries, several setbacks (pneumonia, chiari, lost ability to swallow, feeding tube, etc.) and a month in the hospital, Katy has finally been able to come home and reunite with her family. Still, she requires 24-hour care to assist with her daily living and safety.

Amid her recovery from the surgeries, she has begun a long treatment process including both chemotherapy and radiation. These necessary treatments require significant travel and time away from her home and family.

Before her sudden diagnosis, Katy worked with developmentally disabled adults, helping them learn vocational and pre-vocational skills and find meaningful work in their communities. She is now unable to return to work for an indefinite period of time, causing her family significant financial burden. We would like to make Katy's financial situation one less thing for her to worry about.

Katy (mommy to her amazing three year old son, wife to her wonderful husband Dustin, daughter and sister to her loving family, devoted friend, and so much more) is the kind of person who puts others first and who always shows up for those she loves. She's the person you want on your side. And now she needs our help more than ever.

We know Katy is determined to overcome this unfair challenge she's been given. She's a tenacious woman. But the financial burden on her family is prohibitive.

The money raised will help alleviate medical and living costs while Katy and her family live on one income. You can make a difference by giving. Please help Katy, her husband Dustin, and their three year old son Cameron through this hard time.
