The family and Friends of Ann Walsh are uniting and reaching out to raise money to help with her battle against cancer.

Mother. This is a word that is translated into so many languages and has a plethora of meanings. For me the word Mother is always synonymous with love. My mother has done nothing but ever show her undying love for me. From the day I decided I wanted to be a performer, making every family get together my personal stage; to the day that I came out and said that I'm proud of who I am because of her. She is the person that I look to for inspiration, hope and guidance when times are hard and the person I can't wait to share amazing news with. She is my rock and my lighthouse and I'm everything I am because of her.

September through October typically are months where you look forward to the leaves changing and picking out your perfect Halloween costume. September & October 2012 were not those months for me. They started with my mother telling me she found a lump and it was nothing to worry about and ended with her one mastectomy surgery down, two tumors and a few lymph nodes less. Its crazy how fast everything moved and yet her battle has just begun.

Living about three states away has made Ann’s battle with cancer just that much harder for the both of us. I don't have the time or means to travel and spend all the time that I want to with her back home and although I know she understands that I know it also saddens her that her baby boy can't hold her hand during chemo. My little sister has been an HUGE help in taking mom to the doctors and making sure she does what they say; as well as taking notes on what is to happen next and I thank her so much for it.

However these trips aren't cheap. The Breast Cancer expert is a two hour drive away and in the past three months they have made one or more trips down and back a week. Excluding the fact that she makes a modest living and the fact that gas prices are still absurd, the surgeries alone are enough to bankrupt her. Seeing as I can't be there to hold her hand I thought I would do the next best thing and raise money for her to alleviate any added stress that I can.

So now I look to you, you wonderful potential donor you! I know that times are hard and my mom is not the only one feeling the pinch of the economy but I also know that if you don't ask you'll never know the answer. So please send this to everyone that you know because even 10 dollars from 3,000 people would get us there. I don't personally know 3,000 people but I do live in New York and have friends in social media so hopefully with all of that we can raise the money we need!! Thank you so much!

Peace and Love, Mitchell Weaver
